A native of Orange, TX, Bishop and Pastor Leon Anderson, son of the late Rev. Ira Daniel and Thelma Marie Anderson, for many years, has given his service to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and edifying His church. Bro. Anderson began preaching at the age 12 in nursing homes in Orange, jail services, street services, and revivals. He attended the Texas Bible College in 1969. He married his wife of 35 years, Louella Anderson, in June of 1971 at the Miracle Deliverance Church in Orange, TX. Their marriage has been blessed with 3 children: Michael Anderson in Newark, New Jersey, Derek Anderson in Dallas, TX, and Krystal Gunn in League City, TX |

At 21 years of age, he and his wife founded New Testament Apostolic Holiness Church on 9th St. in a grocery store in Orange in November 1972. As the church began to grow, they purchased the old Echo Baptist Church from late Don Campbell in 1981. They moved the membership to Moss Bluff, LA. following the job market since Livingston shipyard and American Bridge closed. In 1985, the church saw its need for a new worship center and built a new sanctuary to seat 500 strong along with a new fellowship hall, education room, nursery, etc. that we appreciate today |

Bishop Anderson and his wife are very diligent for missions at home and in foreign countries. Bro. Anderson is bishop and pastor to over 68 churches and over 600 evangelists and missionaries across the United States. In Mexico, Bro. and Sis. Anderson have had a home for the last 15 years that they use for the ministry and support and build churches there. Every year they travel to Jamaica to support the believers there. In past, Bishop Anderson preached at the National Apostolic Camp Meeting in Lucy, Jamaica May 9, 2004. And these are just a few of the outreaches that stem from New Testament Apostolic Holiness Church |
